The sister in white: Sneak peek from the Council of Butterflies
Sneak peek at Ms. Mulligan and the Council of Butterflies

Love letter lost . . .
Dear Tab - I don't really know what to say, but I wish you hadn't left like you did. I don't really know why you did either. I mean, one minute you were there and we cooked that potato soup with my dad and stuff . . . and that one time, my mom took us to see that superhero movie (even though you wanted to see the romcom) but you went with me all the same. That was pretty cool. I remember you and me just laughing our heads off at that one scene with the crazy neighbor that tho

Cabin in the woods
When I woke up in the sister's cabin, on that last day, it felt like wet tingling fleas were jumping all over my face. I was too terrified to pay much attention to the bruised back of my head, where I'd been hit and everything had gone black on the hiking trail. But in all my scary dreams of the Black and White Sisters . . . in all the menacing diary entries that pointed to their guilt in my mother's death . . . in all my premonitions and visions of seeing my long, lost fathe

It's not always black and white . . .
So this entry from my mom's old diary kinda freaked me out. Won't lie. I was just learning about the creepy sisters, Mary and Meredith, who the kids all called the Black and White Sisters because one had hair as white as snow and the other had hair as black as a raven's wing. I got my chance to meet these girls - well, now they're old cronies - when they kidnapped me and tried to use my blood to restore their own youth and beauty. Scary with a capital SCARE. But thanks to my

Flashback Friday! How Ms. Mulligan got her start . . .
So, it all started on my twelfth birthday. March 14th. Same birthday as my mother, Elise. I know that because I stole my mom's diary under false pretenses while trying to find out why I became Ms. Mulligan . . . okay, that's a lot of info, so I'll back up. I went to Kat's house for my birthday sleepover with Kat and Dolly, my two besties. Kat's mom, Delia, NEVER lets Kat do anything fun on a school night, but since Sunday was my ACTUAL birthday, she made an exception if Kat a

Ms. Mulligan's Best of 2018!
Here's our best from 2018 . . . pop these blog posts in the microwave for 30 seconds and reheat the fun! Looking forward to 2019 as Tabby, Kat, and Dolly journey to South America to pursue the evil Black and White Sisters and find Tabby's dad in Ms. Mulligan & the Council of Butterflies, coming out this year! #MsMulligan #msmulliganandtheenchantedicecream #MsMulliganandtheCouncilofButterflies #Tabby #Kat #Dolly #middlegradereading #kidlit

How I became a teacher at my own school
So, this is a funny story. Well not funny, really, but, well, ya know . . . so when I woke up as a fully grown WOMAN on my twelfth birthday I had no where to go. I mean I SOOO wanted to go home to the pukey-pink bedroom I share with Abbie, my cousin. I was gonna' go there but Kat DEMANDED that I totally not return there because she said Aunt Patti would not GET that I was actually, really, me - er - Tabby - underneath. She thought maybe I'd get in trouble or something. Dunno.
