Don't you . . . forget about Mulligan

Well, it's been a while but I'm still here. Down here in the jungle it feels like a year has passed although it's only been a couple of weeks in reality. I can say its hot down here with a capital HOT and the bugs in the jungle are the size of small electric cars. I've dragged my two best pals, Kat and Dolly, down here with me and I don't know how they keep putting up with poor old Ms. Mulligan.

It's been a few months since I faced the Black and White Sisters in their cabin in Silver Mountain. The only thing that keeps running around in my head is the moment, the precious moment, that my father, Frank, who'd been entranced by the evil sisters, had put on the amulet and been restored. For only a moment, he was dad again, and his touch--only a finger upon my ankle--had transformed me back to my REAL self: Tabby Mulligan, aged 12! For a moment I was me and I was with my dad and it was . . . well, I get a little teary thinking about it because after Mary drank the potion with my blood in it I was right back to being the 25-year-old Ms. Mulligan again.

But that's why we're all here--me, Mrs. Bumble, Kat, and Dolly--we're out in the jungles of South America looking for my dad with the help of the Catala Brothers. We're on our way to Mexico now, we've got a new lead about Mary and Meredith and where they may have taken Frank. We'll know more when we get to the Council of Butterflies. The public knows this special meeting as the Monarch Migrations where millions of Monarch butterflies return to their birthplace from all over the world.

It's supposed to be awesome and I can't wait to see it. But only our little crew knows the truth: the Monarch migration is a cover for the real event behind the reality everyone else sees . . . The Council of Butterflies. It's the annual meeting of the Jewels of Jericho, the world-wide secret society of gifted individuals that strive to send love out into the world in whatever magical ways they can.

I learned last summer that I'm a Jewel, descended from a long line of Jewels and that Mrs. Bumble, my former science teacher is really my Great Aunt! My mother was gifted as well. Although she died when I was very small, I can feel her spirit here with me, I think. She had visions and could see things happening far away from her. I have them too sometimes, where I can feel and see the energy of those connected to me, even from far away.

Well, there's too much to tell here but we're on our way. On our way to some ancient ruins where we've been told the sisters could be hiding out, then onto the butterflies. With the help of my friends, I intend to save my dad for good this time from the sisters that seek to destroy me and to keep his love away forever. I will never give up.

Forever yours, Tabby (aka Ms. Mulligan).
